In Edo Wonderland, a variety of programs are offered for a deep enjoyment of the Edo period.
These programs start with the Edo Occupation Experience,
where children can try their hand at popular Edo professions,
and even extend to adult samurai experiences.

Edo Occupation Experience
This popular program allows you to experience unique professions from the Edo period. You can choose from three types of occupations: ninja,
child samurai, and mystery-solving Edo police.
While it is targeted towards children, the program adheres to historical accuracy and attention to detail.
Participants can cultivate concentration and a spirit of challenge while experiencing a sense of accomplishment after completing the training.
As the training progresses and the children’s radiant confidence grows, we encourage you to capture these precious moments with photos or videos.

Special Ninja Joint Training
Exclusive ninja training for children (ages 5 to 12) transformed into ninjas.
Challenge authentic training such as ninja running in the merchant district.
Children will be instructed by actual ninjas in skills such as ninja running and shuriken throwing, culminating in a final enemy defeat.

Ninja Training Hall
For ninjas, maintaining a sense of balance is one of the most crucial abilities.
Can you navigate through a mansion where everything seems topsy-turvy
without losing your balance? Your aptitude as a ninja will be tested here.
Ninja Shikake Mechanical Maze
This is a labyrinth of knowledge.
Navigate through the passages, read the scattered proverbs,
and solve intricate puzzles to escape from the maze.
Ninja Karakuri Mansion
Escape from the ninja mansion!
Find the hidden numbers amidst a mansion full of mechanism and aim to escape within a limited time frame.
Depending on the time taken to escape, you will be ranked as either an “Upper Ninja”, “Middle Ninja”, or “Lower Ninja”.

Shuriken Dojo
This is a training ground to hone your skills in one of the seven tools of the ninja, the shuriken ninja star.
The real iron shuriken is heavy and requires
concentration to become a precise ninja.

Yaba Archery Dojo
Archery is a form of mental discipline for a samurai.
Once you draw the bow, calm your breath and focus solely on the target.
As you compose your mind, you too will become an adept archer in no time.

Samurai Training Institute
This is an experiential facility for authentic samurai training. Weekdays offer swordsmanship experiences for adults, while weekends provide child samurai experiences for kids.
From samurai etiquette to actual swordsmanship,
you can experience the true feelings of being a samurai.
*Participation: Swordsmanship experience – 13 years old and above, Child samurai experience – 5 to 12 years old.

Yakata Boat Cruise
You can enjoy a scenic tour of the moats surrounding the town of Edo on a charming yakata boat. The view of Edo’s streets from the moat is truly special, creating a serene atmosphere. Don’t miss the impressive skills of the boatman, who expertly maneuvers the boat with a single pole, just like in the old days.

Jigoku Temple
Eerie laughter and deep bass rumbles as if erupting from the depths of hell.
Various versions of hell are portrayed here.
After experiencing this terrifying place, you’ll surely never dare to do anything bad again.
Caution is advised if entering alone.
Shamisen Experience
When it comes to elegant instruments in Edo, it’s the shamisen.
Challenge yourself to play that well-known tune with its expressive tones!
Master the art of handling the three strings and aim to become a rockstar of Edo!

Senbei Cracker Experience
Prepare hot senbei rice cracker over charcoal fire. Brush soy sauce over
them multiple times to achieve a flavor that suits your taste.
The taste of your freshly baked senbei will be extraordinary.
Once they are crispy and aromatic, take a piece with you as you stroll through the streets of Edo.

Crafting Experience in Edo
Become a living Edo artisan and engage in various craft-making programs
such as spinning thread, weaving, paper making, and painting daruma dolls.
Through these experiences, you will learn the joy of craftsmanship and the importance of cherishing the things around you.

Makeup Experience
You can experience the luxurious crimson color derived from safflower,
also displayed in the ” Modern Edo-Tech Museum.”
Just applying it to your lips instantly brightens your expression.

Experience the origin of modern denim – indigo dyeing.

The Modern Edo-Tech Museum is a facility that exhibits and introduces various techniques developed by Edo artisans that continue to
blend into modern society.
Take your time to appreciate the beauty and skills passed down through generations.
Edo-machi Firefighting Museum
As the saying goes, “Fire and fighting are the flowers of Edo,”
fires frequently occurred in the streets of Edo.
The machi-bikeshi (town firefighters) played a vital role during such times.
This historical museum delves into the unexpected true faces of the machi-bikeshi,
who were considered idols by the townspeople.
Sengumi Fire Chief Masagoro’s Residence
Masagoro was once the head of the firefighting organization “Nibangumi Uchi Sengumi” and a person who was depicted in ukiyo-e as an Edo idol.
At Sengumi Masagorou’s Kashira Residence you can experience a recreated depiction of Masagoro’s lifestyle.
As you imagine what kind of person Masagoro was in that era, enjoy your visit.
Sharetei
Themed around the “sophistication” of Edo, this museum displays various items from the era.
The machi-bikeshi (town firefighters) of Edo were not only active during fires, but they also played a role in mediating disputes and maintaining public order – they were truly “men among men.”
At Sharetei, through the exhibited artifacts,
you can experience the way of life of these sophisticated men.
Samurai Warehouse
In Edo Wonderland, which conveys the cultural heritage of the Edo era to future generations,the museum showcases the items of Ogasawara-ryu a school of ritual and etiquette, archery, and mounted archery, inheriting traditions from the Kamakura period.
It exhibits precious items that evoke historical romance.
Kanuchi Swordsmith
The soul of the strongest samurai in world history, the Japanese sword.
You can see the process from sand iron to a single sword and the work of a swordsmith.
This museum allows you to feel the samurai spirit imbued in the sword.
If you feel something here, you might be a descendant of samurai.
Golden Tea Room
Speaking of the golden tea room, Hideyoshi’s tea room is famous,
and there is one here in Edo Wonderland too.
The tea room, adorned with gold leaf from the ceiling to the walls, can only be described as luxurious.
If you can spend a peaceful time in this tea room, which can be considered a pastime for Edo’s wealthy, you might have mastered the art of tea ceremony.
