We are a photography rental studio in Nikko, Tochigi prefecture.
With 7,000 tsubo (23,100 square meters) of spacious outdoor sets, we can provide for
any historical, Edo-themed, or Japan-themed photo or video shoot.
We also have a full selection of sets which replicate indoor scenes from the Edo Period.
For photography of nagaya (traditional housing complexes), Japanese gardens, tea houses, shukuba (post towns), merchant districts, farms, neighborhoods, and more.
We have 22 buildings which recreate the Edo Period.
For indoor photography of military, merchant, and civilian houses, as well as dojos, etc.
For photography of large castle halls, Ooku (harem rooms), and shogun staterooms.
Edo-themed and period pieces can also be shot at Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura on the same grounds.
In addition, we are close to rich natural shooting locations such as mountains and rivers. Our facilities can be used as a home base for a wide variety of photography needs.
Our space allows for all sorts of shoots, not only Edo-themed or period pieces.
We also provide consultations for location scouting.
Edo Wonderland Studio is more than just a photography studio. We provide
everything you need for your Edo-themed shoot, event, or performance.
We have accessories, props including armor, swords, and pipes,
as well as period costumes and wigs.
In addition, we can arrange for art staffing, lighting, standby, and actors.
